Biography
Quincy Tolliver & James Spivey did not meet by chance occurrence. For 14 years, the 2 have been best friends and attended the same church. It was 3 years ago that their collective dream started to become a reality. They began by singing in a gospel group with Sam Williams and Travis Sewell called “Four for Christ”, there they discovered there musical chemistry. It wasn’t long before they started recording songs that sounded far from amateur. QT began producing when he was 15, fine tuning his sound, while continuing to perform with the gospel quartet. After church jam sessions with Quincy on Keyboard, James on drums turned into studio sessions, studio sessions turned into something special. After recording “Brighter Days” a rap song in Quincy’s basement, James realized this was his passion, a few years later they took their talent to the recording studio and with Quincy’s production and singing beside James’ Rapping and songwriting, making radio quality records became a force of habit. QT now 23 and J Dot now 21 have begun production on their debut as yet untitled album. Songs like “Believe in Me”, “Low Shawty” “Strikeout”, and “Your Turn To Cry” are already sparking internet and radio interest, the sky seems to be the limit for this tag team. With production from QT and Nas 550 there debut album is gearing up for a release sometime later this year, expect VERY big things from this duo, they could very well take over the music industry itself.
