Biography

Damien Fernandez is a musical phenom. A world class singer songwriterproducer and musician Damien has no limits but his imagination whenproducing. 26 years old Fernandez is already a seasoned performer witha reputation for stealing the show. Sharing tha stage with suchnoteworthy performers as: Akon, Pitbull, Lil Jon, Sisqo, Naughty ByNature, Yuckmouth , Cypress Hill, Ja Rule & Benzino, Technyne, SeanPaul, Slim ( from r&b group 112) and more Damien has been turningheads since his arrival on the urban music scene in 2002.

As a child, a young Fernandez was always extremely fascinated withmusic. By the age of only five he started playing guitar, learningeverthing he could from anyone he could. ‘ I remember I didnt know anyof the songs on the radio when I was young cuz the cats that’d show metunes and stuff were like older guys and I’d be buzzing out on all theshit they was into.’ he laughs ‘ So theres me , nine years old in theback of a smokey hotel at 4 in tha mornin playing tunes on the guitarfor eryone to sing cuz they were all 2 drunk 2 play!’

At the age of twelve Damien auditioned and was excepted into one of south Australia’s best specialist music schools.

Unfortunately he was removed from the music program 3 months later because he couldnt pay $20 a month for guitar books.

Damien enrolled at The Parks high school where he skippedalmost every class 2 hide in the music suite. ‘ I just remeber If I wasever sitting in class I’d look around at eryone and wonder why they gotit and I didn’t’ he explains ‘ I always felt like I was just wasting mytime until the next time I could play my guitar’

THE WORLD IS MINE MIXTAPE

The mixtape that started it all. In 2007 Damien Fernandez (A.K.A.Six 3) decided to remix a couple of songs for local radiopromotion…the result, the first R&B mixtape of it’s kind ever.All the songs contained the original artists and hooks that made thesongs great, with Fernandez dropping in and out seemingly effortlesslyamong the hugest stars of urban music and not only holding his own, butin many cases outdoing the original artists on their own tracks! Theunderground R&B/Hip hop community was stunned. A new Urban musicgiant emerged with a nickname that seemed almost inevitable… THEREMIX KING.

The Buzz was instant. Worldwide internet sites, forums andhere on myspace people couldn’t stop raving about the kid from Adelaidewho came out of no where and destroyed 17 of the highest charting clubtracks of 2007. ‘ I’d say prolly the most influencial guy I gave a copyof the mixtape to was Lil Jon’ Damien continues ‘ We did a clubtogether late ‘07 I opened up for him and his MC’s and afterwards hewas like, YOU GOT A CD NIGGA? That was pretty cool. I got a call backfrom his manager the next day so that was encouraging . ‘

NEW EP

Fans all over the world are ecstatic to hear the news, a brand new E.P.from Damien Fernandez 100% confirmed for release mid 2008. The E.P. isa Huge style shift for fernandez.

‘I’d say the difference in my music now is phenomenal. I’ve grown up somuch as a producer and an artist plus this E.P. Is a complete new stylefor me. I’ve moved away from conventional RnB and Hip Hop and steeredin a much more kinda retro/electronica direction. The Music is muchmore original with huge leaps in production and songwriting fromanything I’ve given you in the past and I think it will help solidifyme as one of the top cutting edge producers in urban music .’
